As a Catholic and a Celtic fan, I am completely disgusted. The minutes silence has nothing in particular to do with your political views on the British Army or on what it stands for. Those who sing these songs should stop and think "Where have I been happy to live all my life? Which country gave me a free NHS? Why do I sing the songs when I have little idea of their real meaning?" The main point is these idiots have little justification for what they are doing and they should be made to speak to people REALLY affected by the Troubles to see just what an impact behaviour like this has on real lives

Noo, I'm not a pure bleeding heart, I'm a bit unfeeling when it comes to things like this. During the two minute's silence, I did not give two fucks, to be honest. And maybe that's what those guys were like, the singers. Maybe drunk, maybe not giving a fuck, and maybe not caring about who heard them. Maybe I was like them in a way, just not giving a fuck.

But, when I sit and type about it, and think about what these people in the world wars had to do, whether they liked it or not, then it starts to sink in.
