Shameful? Understandable? Or maybe the cunts were too drunk to realise that a minute’s silence was happening?
What d’yous think?

You hasve already said it yourself, Limmy. It will just go on and on and on and on... because people are comfortable being idiots. I wonder if we'll ever become more than just a fucking bunch of 6-plus billion daft apes.

As noble and worthy as it is arguing with arseholes, it is literally impossible to get your point across. They don't listen, merely await their turn to speak.
Aye, freedom of speech for all.. I'm happy for the warped, fat bigoted hingoots to dress up in their Nuremberg gimp costumes and wobble about like demented penguins, means we can make videos like these and laugh at them for the nuclear disasters to civilisation they ur.
eddiemunster "They weren’t republicans but Mark, they were just daft cunts in celtic taps."
Aye, but Eddie, they're entitled to their protest in a democratic country. Mark believes in the right to protest, and he firmly believes that all protesters have the right to protest, no matter where, no matter when, no matter how.
And if Protestants in Northern Ireland wish to protest about the Catholic Church, then Mark's all for that. If Protestants wish to protest by marching a flute band right through a Catholic area, Mark just does not the see the problem with that.
And if Catholic families have got a problem with being barricaded into their own fucking street in order for this protest to go ahead smoothly, then Mark would say to them "Aw diddums boo hoo, stop fuckin greetin about it. They’re entitled to their protest in a democratic country".
They weren't republicans but Mark, they were just daft cunts in celtic taps.
Mark In Clogs
Some Irish republican people hate the British army for murdering their loved ones and invading their homeland.. simple fact, int it ? we'd all feel the same if it was us. A few republicans decided to sing about a British army atrocity in protest.
Aw diddums boo hoo, stop fuckin greetin about it. They're entitled to their protest in a democratic country.

All football fans have there wanker section, some people hate to admit it...

I agree that it was atrocious ignorant behavior and the clubs image has rightly been tarnished. But it feels like the rangers fans are trying to sap every little bit they can out of this, as its usually them getting the flak. Its a bit like the politicians on newsnight all having a right good laugh at nick griffin and being fuckin elated that it wasnt them getting abuse for once.
Beezer
As per fucking usual Catholic schools are blamed for this by a bigot. Whit the fuck are you talking about apartheid schools,Anybody can go to a Catholic school ya stupid cunt. For the record it was a fucking disgarace what these arseholes did at Falkirk, but comments like yours Parker doesn't help,ya thick bigoted cunt.

Mark In Clogs, this post wasn't about Rangers fans. There's was no point in trying to justify the video above by saying it's not as bad as some other team's fans, you just made yourself a target.
I just have one question though, if this was a protest, does anyone know what it was supposed to achieve?
We're only different in one aspect to the Rangers fans and that is we don't have an away support that are spoilt by a minority who enjoy violence as part of supporting their team. Ours just spoil it by embarrassing us in other ways
Tommy
Yes Parker, it was a disgrace then and it would be a disgrace now.
Whats your point?
Now because i've said what i have, i'm just waiting for one of the usual suspects to tell me about how my priest abused me when i was younger, that has happened on here before.
The twat obviously didn't know i'm a protestant.
Mark In Clogs
For what it's worth.. I've always stayed quiet in these types of minute's silences out of respect for all the good folk killed in wars in general, that includes good British soldiers and innocent civilians murdered by Nazi cunts in WW2.. AND innocent civilians murdered by cunts in the British army.
I'm "unblinkered" enough to understand why some people closer to the victims of the British army can't keep quiet at these remembrances though, I'm glad we live in a country where it's army can be criticised and protested against.. for the mixed bag it is,
Aye, Dubya, it would be a good way to end the series, a total fucking downer, haha.
Mark In Clogs "grow up about whit ?"
Grow up about what you've just said. You sound like a wee boy deflecting blame away by bringing up something another boy did. If something bad happened, something bad happened.
Blinkered.
Mark In Clogs
Because it was relevant to the main point I made about some of their support's songs and conduct being illegal whilst Celtic's isn't (above video song included).. both clubs were beaten in Uefa cup finals recently and the 100,000 or so Celtic fans that travelled to Seville got awarded a Fifa fair play award for their behaviour as no major incidents happened.. yet 90,000 Rangers fans went to Manchester and thousands of theim rioted, to the level it ended up a main feature on Crimewatch with a lot of innocent folk hospitalised and some nearly dying. There's conclusive proof who's got the worst fans, they're totally different from us so don't tar us wi the same brush.
I'm just stating a few facts in a subject you raised.. and have raised before, grow up about whit ?

'And I’ll tell you where that comes from, that last defence. It’s the product of years of one dimensional thinking. You see it on both sides, on the Rangers/Proddy/Queen side, and the Celtic/Catholic/Pope side. Cunts that are bred from an early age to think one way and one way only and to stick to that way of thinking until the day they die. Two sides of thick bastards. Never seeing things from the other’s point of view. Never wondering why they themselves just so happened to be born into the right side and not the wrong side like that lot. Never realising that they may as well be arguing with their reflection.
And the thing is, it’ll just keep on going. It’ll just keep on going, and keep on going, and keep on going. It’ll never stop.

That part is brilliant, Limmy.
You should have had that in your show.
Funny...Funny...Funny... then...........BANG!! Hit them wi' that!
Anyway, well said.

I think to be honest, if the cunts on here didn't have fitba tae argue about they'd find somethin else to argue about. I've supported celtic since I was about 7 and I was raised a catholic til I, for want of a better phrase, seen the light and realised God is a lot of shite. I sing songs about the IRA and I have a very strong feelings of 'dislike' to the british army, and most things associated with Britain, partly through choice, partly through my upbringing.
But see aw youse daft cunts that get wound up about it and have daft wee tit for tat arguments, its getting pathetic. I'll admit that I love winding cunts up, especially huns, but thats all it is, a fucking wind up. I canny believe Im saying this but people huv tae grow up. Fuck it, rant over, if I didny make sense its cause Im being distracted by researching som eporn for my next big wank, due to take place in about ten minutes. Then Im away to get 'Scotlands Real Shame' on the back of my bumblebee, just to see who gets more wound up.
"Limmy lights the blue(green) touch paper and stands well back. Do you not get sick of reading the same shite every time?"
No really. It's interesting, it's entertaining, and it shows visitors from outside Glasgow what it's like here.
I personally cannae believe some of the stuff I'm reading. People trying to justify singing over a minute's silence as a "protest". That's nonsense, absolute fucking nonsense.
I understand the whole thing about the atrocities the Army committed in Northern Ireland. As ill-educated as this makes me sound, I'd heard about Bloody Sunday, but it wasn't until I saw that James Nesbitt drama that I learned just how bad it was. And I've learned about all these other bits and bobs, and the general fucking up of Ireland by Britain. So I understand the hatred.
But this wasn't a minute's silence purely for soldiers that walked about Northern Ireland. This was a minute's silence for cunts in World War II and the First World War, amongst others. Those wars included normal people conscripted to join the Army, normal cunts that previously worked in shops or offices or whatever, and were then told they were to stop what they were doing, take this rifle, and go and run towards flying bullets.
Noo, I'm not a pure bleeding heart, I'm a bit unfeeling when it comes to things like this. During the two minute's silence, I did not give two fucks, to be honest. And maybe that's what those guys were like, the singers. Maybe drunk, maybe not giving a fuck, and maybe not caring about who heard them. Maybe I was like them in a way, just not giving a fuck.
But, when I sit and type about it, and think about what these people in the world wars had to do, whether they liked it or not, then it starts to sink in. A lot of them probably fucking shat themselves and just couldn't handle it, being told to run towards the same place where their pal just got his legs blown off.
When I think that, I realise how out of order it was for they Celtic fans to sing over that silence.
And I do not understand how it can be defended.
To be specific, I don't understand how it can be defended "in cold blood", for want of a better term. I don't understand how people can view it as a legitimate and reasonable protest, after taking into consideration all these cunts that died in the world wars, crying and bleeding to death and wishing they were back home with their wives when everything was normal.
How can that be done, how can that be defended?
I can understand this defence: "They were drunk and cocky and have strong feelings about the injustice in Ireland over the centuries. And although they still hold their views, they realise that they were wrong to express them in that way at that time".
But I can't understand this defence: "What? What's the problem? After what they cunts did to Ireland? Fuck them, fuck every cunt who ever died in the trenches, fuck the lot of them. Lalalalalala!"
And I'll tell you where that comes from, that last defence. It's the product of years of one dimensional thinking. You see it on both sides, on the Rangers/Proddy/Queen side, and the Celtic/Catholic/Pope side. Cunts that are bred from an early age to think one way and one way only and to stick to that way of thinking until the day they die. Two sides of thick bastards. Never seeing things from the other's point of view. Never wondering why they themselves just so happened to be born into the right side and not the wrong side like that lot. Never realising that they may as well be arguing with their reflection.
And the thing is, it'll just keep on going. It'll just keep on going, and keep on going, and keep on going. It'll never stop.
Cunts wae logos and colours and countries and histories and bad blood, never letting go, like two lassies in a hair fight in primary school.

Celtic fans only receive awards and praise from Uefa while Rangers are getting repeatedly investigated and charged three times for their illegal conduct, that's are a far cry from "spouting the same shite."
Awizlik...
Limmy lights the blue(green) touch paper and stands well back. Do you not get sick of reading the same shite every time?
Yer missing my point treppenwitz, which was that the justification these protesters have given for thier actions is that they cannot honour the minutes silence due to the fact that the British Army committed attrocities against Irish people (see what I did there).
However they seem happy to sing songs of celebration to the memory of members of the IRA and other similar organisations who committed attrocities against other Irish people (I done it again in case ye missed it the first time).
Lynn has nailed it in far fewer words than I have managed.
McNumpshis
Don't mean to be pernickety, Lim, but thats no celtic park.
Terra Informer
The Celtic View not only refuses to condemn the singing that took place but agrees with the 'understandable' feelings many Irishmen feel towards the British Armed Forces. Proof, if ever it was required, that Glasgow Celtic and their fans are inseparably linked with sympathies for the bombing of countless innocent men, women and children during The Troubles. I sincerely hope they all burn in hell.
THE MIGHTY QUINN
Who cares?
Tommy
I must say, i'm loving the mock outrage from the rangers fans about this.
Twenty odd boozed up wee neds sing a song during a minutes silence (which was a fucking disgrace), yet THOUSANDS of their 'brethren' sing songs about being ''up to their knees in you know what'', week in, week out and not a peep.
Love Rangers, Love Racism
Treppenwitz
eddiemunster; If we're going to bring up the troubles then we'll also have to point out the fact that the British Army (and the RUC) actively colluded with Loyalist terrorist organisations during attacks on Republicans and Catholics civilians, even though troops were originally deployed to protect civilians on BOTH sides. I'll play devils advocate here and ask if their was to be a minutes silence in Britain for all the German causalities in recent wars; how many would observe it?
Mark in Clogs, you are no different from 'ra peepil'. You wear different coloured shirts but you all spout the same shite.
Mike
Don't do it Erin you'll wake up sluggish with a sore arse.
TRUST ME!
Lampsey
Well for a start its not at Celtic Park, its at Falkirk and everybodys away fans have more of a 'hardcore' element i suppose. And I would imagine given the look of pure disgust in the Chief Execs face Celtic will attempt to do something about it rather than say 'we dont know how to get rid of bigotry from the game' as was said last year and the year before etc.
Personally tho, although I agree with respecting the dead soldiers an that, I dont believe for one second that any of them 'died for me' or that I should be grateful. There is a simple solution to any potential war....don join the friggin army! Then the bams that want tae go ahead but dont actually want to do the fightin can get on wi it on their tod.
Galvanizer
Just a thought, but how come none of the people who were driving by the stadium during the minutes silence got reported for being disrespectful? Is it maybe because they weren't in the stadium and therefore weren't aware it was taking place? As I say, just a thought.
parker
Gav that 'young irishman' that got shot was a member of Sinn Fein/IRA
The fact no-one comments on yer blog speak volumes.
We all know all this shit was a long time ago before the decent people of Ulster decided on peaceful means so let's stick to TODAYS news events shall we?
I was replying to some imaginary "ra peepil" above that need a wee reality check about their songs and behaviour that has been deemed llegal by Uefa.. unlike that Irish anti war song about 20 Celtic fans sung, hence why Rangers are getting charged again tomorrow by Uefa and Celtic aren't, know what I mean ?
Yeah Chopper Reads' Ears , get you at the 4 corners .
Mr Horse
I had a plan to buy Rangers if I won the 90 million Euro millions jackpot and then sell the club to Celtic for the price of a fun size Mars bar. Just so the whole of Scotland could be rocked off it's axis and cunts could go about flinging themselves off bridges.
Gav what about the attrocities committed by the IRA and similar movements during the troubles in Ireland? Disnae seem tae stop a certain element (probably the same ones protesting at the weekend) from singing songs in praise of them.
Also, no-one is disputing anyone's right to protest, but did they really have to do it at exactly the same time as the minutes silence? They had all day to protest, but chose the one minute where it would upset people the most, to me that's not protest but merely trying to lump it up cunts. No different to the attitude displayed at yer average orange walk.
Mark In Clogs
Exactly Gav, nail on head you saved me writing a similar comment.
The ignorant fannies tryin to get on their Lloyds TSB high horse should study your post, educate themselves a bit for a change.
Figure out why Uefa are investigating your fans on Thursday again.. for the THIRD time in recent seasons annaw, while they've been awarding Fifa Fair Play awards and praise to the Celtic fans.. you'll soon realise why yer club's known as Scotland's Shame throughout Europe, yer support is absolutely riddled with thousands of far right sectarian and racist scum. That's why your under investigation again. It isny the minority either I used to go to Ibrox from age 10 and witnessed it first hand.. 40,000 Rangers fans singing about being up to their knees in catholic's blood before kick off encouraged and aided by the Follow Follow song played into the staduim by your rotten club. A young boy should never have to listen to that warped rubbish at a football match. Scummy warped animals then and yees still are.

OI!! Mike!!!
Hands off!!!!!!!!! :-)
Mike
Dubya I saw her last week she is amazing I am in love!
The song they were singing was Aiden McAnaspie, about a young Irishman shot dead for no reason by the British army. There were hundreds of atrocities commited by the british army during their occupation of NI(and indeed any other country) and while people may have had relatives that died fighting for the british in the second world war, people also have relatives that died at the hands of them needlessly and without provocation.
While I dont agree with what they did at a football match or with any aspect of war in general, people have the right to protest, just as they have the right to march in the street and peddle hatred.
In my opinion there are two sides, the one that seen innocent young guys shipped off to war not to come home again which this thing commemorates and the evil and oppression that lurks higher up the chain and dosnt dare get its hands dirty and thats whats being protested. You should respect the country you live in and keep your mouth shut but you have to defend peoples rights
crowsus
Maybe its time to just close Rangers and Celtic down.
Its a shame for the many decent folk who are paying to follow the clubs but lets face it, you are associating yourselves with horrible cunts on a weekly basis so either you are a '90-minute bigot', involved in the hatred in a subtle way, or you are turning a blind eye and blaming 'theym' for all the badness when it is clearly both sets of 'fans' who are responsible in almost equal measure, or you are completely blind to the fact that your beloved football team is basically a tool for division, violence and intolerance, and possibly think you can be a proper supporter of one of the Old Firm clubs without subscribing to the 'unofficial' values of the fanbase as a whole, so if you fall into any of these categories you embarrass yourself and don't really deserve to have your opinion taken into account by normal people who don't see life in degrees of Orange and Green.
There have been several attempts by various parties to rid the clubs of these fans but lets face it, fans are the lifeblood of the club and it is the scum fans who are the most passionate supporters of these clubs. So it's not working, its time to close them down, it is together that the Old Firm are Scotland's Shame rather than one or the other.
Most of the 90-minute bigots may even forget about all the crap they claim to care about so much when they arent getting reminded of it by the worst of the knuckle-draggers every week. And if they are still being cunts they won't be able to hide behind their football team any more and will get shamed as they should be by decent members of society.
So there.
picklish
Ach, i'm talking pish, ignore me.
Still, anyone who moans about cunts singing when they aren't supposed to needs to get a grip. I'm not religious or sellik minded or a orangeman
Just, songs ken. I think the same goes for politically incorrect jokes. Should we call comedians evil and shameful too? No of course we shouldn't. People should be able to sing what they want, when they want. Freedom of speech. I don't support the troops, why should I? Fought for me? No, they fought cos they were told tae. Like talking German would be such a bad thing. Would more likely be Russian anyway. They I could read Dostoyevsky in the original lingo.
Fuck the wars

Aye, it was the fans 'outside' the stadium.
Just like when R*ng*rs fans run amok in various cities, it's actually fans from Chelsea, West Ham etc...
The Scottish media need to climb out of the Old Firms arses and start naming and shaming them for what they are. Bigots and Arseholes.
Both sides are Scotland's Shame...
picklish
Weird to see the Celtic fans singing the praises of George and Dick and Condeleeza. Thought they were yesterday's men and women...

It's absolutely disgusting. Inexcusable.

Fight for our freedom my baws. Cunts fought cos they were told to fought, not because they were freedom loving perfectly wonderful human beings. They were murderers and racists and homophobes and rapists just like the Germans. Nae different. History was written by the winners. Just lucky it was us, eh. I mean, fuck being Japanese or German the now...
As for the troops nowadays, anyone who joins the army should expect to get shot at. These fuckers kill children every day, all across the world. 'Some guy's are singing songs mammy, gonnae make them stop.' Fuck off.
Celtic and Rangers? Both as bad as each other, Scotland's shame.
Steve
I think it's reasonable to assume that if you're outside the stadium you probably won't know what the fuck is going on inside the stadium.
That's just common sense.
But I know, it's handier to assume it was some vile act so you can direct your anger at them.

'The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral, begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy. Instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it. Through violence you may murder the liar, but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth. Through violence you may murder the hater, but you do not murder hate. In fact, violence merely increases hate. So it goes. Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.'

No, wrong. It's in remembrance of the military victims of war. For starters, naebody who died in the First World War would be covered by your description. Or the Korean War. Or the Falklands. Or Palestine.

The cunts that sing these songs and make these ridiculous protests are an embarrassment to Scotland. It saddens me to think that these idiots are too bloody-minded, and involved in re-writing history for their own agendas, to acknowledge that British soldiers did more than just station themselves in Ireland.
Men & women become soldiers to fight for their chosen countries. When they do that, they sacrifice their own politics to follow the orders their superiors give them. They put their lives on the line to defend that country.
I am disgusted that these "fans" have chosen to associate themselves with the same club I support.

Thought it was well offensive. There's guys dying and getting blown up to fuck every day out in Afghan never mind all the other folk who have died etc over the years and those fannies couldn't even shut up for 1 min. Someone should kick fuck out them all.

What is really disgusting is seeing the reptiles on the celtic board Peter Liewell not having the dignity to wear a poppy shaking his head 0:21 and Dr death John Reid the war monger whose actions and lies have made Remembrance day more poignant today than it has ever been in my lifetime squirming in his seat.
And also the Scottish mhedia shameful silence on this matter "it was only a small minority", all the time not acknowledging the elephant in the room, that this anti-British bile that festers in this city. The anti-British bile that makes a young man who was born in this country, parents where born in this country. Was fed, clothed sheltered and educated in this country choosing to play for the Republic of Ireland.
well I am sorry, if you have the misfortune to travel to the sink estate these reptiles come from you will see from the IRA graffiti on the walls of these sink estates that it is a majority view and not a minority.
Where the fuck are these scum heads at fucking the Queen, fuck Britain, yet you can be sure they will kick up a fuck if their Giro is one British penny short of the full amount.
Disgusting!!!
But not as disgusting as their beloved country’s actions in the two world wars. World war two for example when Europe liberty was being threatened by the jack boot of the Hun. What did they do fuck all when we all know they would have been first up against the wall by the Nazis as nothing but untermensch.
Rot in hell you cunts.

Pointless, just a bunch of daft cunts that can't do anything unless they are pissed or amongst other fucking dicks like themselves, there is not much you can say to defend them, makes you embarassed. Waste of time. THICK CUNTS FUCK OFF.
I think your right about the being to drunk to know its going on . I was working at the forge when the silence was ment to take place and the inshops kept the radio on playing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4O1A-mmBWw while people walked about tapping each other asking "whys no cunt talking" and they were sober.
Hypo
I think that it's pretty low. Maybe the celtic fans were doing it to get one up on that student who pished on the cenotaph in England. They wanted to do something outrageous but weren't willing to do a shite on the cenotaph.
Teckle
It's a joke when things like this happen. I'm totally with Dubya. When it happens to one side of the Old Firm, fans of the other team jump on it and say, "we would never do such a thing" when the vast majority of us know that they are just as bad as each other, signing stupid, ignorant, needless songs that most of them do not know the meaning of. The fact that this happened during a minutes silence just makes it that much worse.
If there's two things I hate it's bigots and fenian bastards.
John
Standing still, doing nothing, not making a sound, for a whole minute. What's the point? Everyone's thinking "Fuck sake, when is this going to end so I can continue on with my life?"
"It's to show respect."
Every morning when every one of us takes a shite in the morning it lasts a good few minutes of (near) silence. Why can't those minutes count for every day of the year so we don't have to put on this act.
Dubya B Yeats
People were just waiting for this to happen. It was obvious that a minority of fucking IDIOTS were going to do this. There are 'fans' from both sides of the Old Firm that are disgusting examples of the human race.
Fucking sick to death of this pish!
"...up to our knees in fenian blood..."
"...ooh ah up the 'ra..."

As a Catholic and a Celtic fan, I am completely disgusted. The minutes silence has nothing in particular to do with your political views on the British Army or on what it stands for. Those who sing these songs should stop and think "Where have I been happy to live all my life? Which country gave me a free NHS? Why do I sing the songs when I have little idea of their real meaning?" The main point is these idiots have little justification for what they are doing and they should be made to speak to people REALLY affected by the Troubles to see just what an impact behaviour like this has on real lives

Thats just ignorant. Probably half of them had relatives who fought in the wars...
