You might remember this post I made in 2008, where I was looking for a song that sounded like Too Funky, only it had no singing other than an occasional sample of a woman singing something like “Oh… it’s just a heeeeeartaaaaache… I’m gonna get you!”
I have an update!
I was looking for acapella versions of songs there, and I stumbled upon the much sampled Love’s Gonna Get You by Jocelyn Brown. And within, I found the “I’m gonna get you!” bit.

And, as we worked out, Too Funky also samples Jocelyn Brown’s Somebody Else’s Guy.
I’ve had a look around, but I still can’t find this fucking song. A song that samples both those songs, and sounds generally like Too Funky, without the singing.

dug oot the too funky cd single but there's nae mention of songwriting credits apart fae the george fella.
It may be something by Paul Hardcastle. “Don't waste my time” is a bit like it, most of his songs sound the same.
