  1. Thereyummyforyertummy says:

Not as good as last week but was still a pretty decent job. Liked the piano, newsreader part 1, yer doppelganger and Falconhoof was brilliant. Dislikes: Wee Gary’s pretty shit just don’t find it funny at all..wasn’t into the planet speech prefered it on the web..and usually really like the old man in the pub but wasn’t as impressed this week. All in it was going to be hard topping last week but it will get everyone back for next week which is all that matters.

  2. jon1981 says:

Enjoyed it limmy, preferred last weeks mind you, look forward to the next one.
PS Falconhoof wisny my cup a T last week but thought it was no bad there :)

  3. matthewhouston says:

Aye, thought it was good this week. Still think there's a lot more tae come right enough. A heard somewhere that you're maybe doin' a second series is that right or just bullshit?

  4. Mike Palmer says:

I thought last weeks was better too. Jacqueline and 'Right Ta' seemed to be better on the telly rather than in their original formats. For some reason I laughed like fuck at the piano bit. The news guy was good, didn't really like your speech about not saving the planet it worked better on youtube I thought. The bit where you attacked the teenagers was great and so was DEE DEE. Cant wait for next weeks show.

  5. Weebarra says:

I thought this weeks was better than last weeks actually. Dee Dee was brilliant as was the opening scene with the stare off.

“Right ta” definitely worked better on telly, I think mainly because you took it a bit further with the running down stairs.

Anyway, it's good to know your first episode wasn't just a fluke eh!

  6. Elaine says:

I hope Falconhoof doesn't get too much more upsetting; poor sod. I like how you've got him wearing those hellish knitted Ugg boot hings.

Liked Ambulance, Jacqueline & Dee Dee best. Yer newsreader was Jim White, but handsome.

  7. Awizlik.... says:

This weeks show was just as funny, if not funnier than last weeks. Really enjoyed the smug newsreader, falconhoof(funny/tragic) and DeeDee. Hope to see John Paul soon.

  8. Dubya B Yeats says:

    Absolute class!

Smiled all the way through this week. Far better than last week and more like (in my opinion!) the Limmy that's entertained us these past few years.

Brilliant. Thanks for a cracking half-hour.

  9. Kate says:

Brilliant, Right Ta was my favourite from the website so it was great to see it in the show. I've also been singing the bam boogie, boogaloo song since last week!

  10. BundyBhoy says:

I thought this weeks wasnt as good as last weeks

Sketche's i Enjoyed were jacqeline mcafferty , adventure call , ambulance , sandy nelson pub scene , dee dee :D

    canny wait fir next episode

  11. AndyRichX says:

Fuckin IPlayer…. where's a torrent when ye need it? :(

  12. Mark In Clogs says:

Most of it's decent/good, I've hated the two wee Gary sketches so far though.. wee is an apt name for the cant as he is total pish, tell the baby Jesus to send him away.

  13. Very very good this week. Falconhoof is excellent.. Good work.

  14. nik says:

its active on iplayer the now “guys”

  15. Twin says:

Sorry but what a load of pish, I saw an episode last year and actually laughed tonite I just thought what the fuck was that all about the news reader was just long and drawn out to use time as were a few instances were I was just left thinking, what the fuck was that about sorry big man but if that is the kind of shite your gonae churn oot then I can dae wieoot. Glaswegians hae a good sense oh humour and you gie em a bad name, Sorry but it wis pure pish man.

  16. AndyRichX says:

As people have mentioned before on here, think the doppelganger should have been Thom Yorke. Other than that, was still great.

Liked it this week as well, DeeDee's the funniest, we all know someone just like him. *cough*

  17. CalvinoM says:

I thought it was equally as good as last week. Falconhoof was absolutely brilliant and I really likes the 'Emshterdem” newsreader. Low slung denims was good but wasted as it was the advert for the week. Good effort.

  18. Excellent show again Limmy, caking my pants in excitement for next week again.

  19. andyyo says:

    Can someone upload to youtube!

  20. xbrandxnewx says:

Good on yew limmy! another good show! its actually so good to see new and funny comedy on the tv again! i Thought this one was quite different in a way from last weeks, but still equally funny, just funny in a slightly different way! I liked the updated “right-ta”! same with Dee Dee, Falconhoof and Jacqueline sketches! the sketch with the staring was classic aswell! think there was only a few wee bits i didn't like/get, but as i said before, yew kind of expect things like that!

looking forward to next weeks installment already! well going to start doing the arrows aswell!

  21. Clinto84 says:

Overall I enjoyed it more than last weeks with my favourites being Falconhoof, Jacqueline and the “you'll never catch me, I'm your worst nightmare!” sketch. Will need to have another watch on iPlayer at some point.

  22. ciaranconnolly says:

    Pretty neat huh?

  23. gayle1875 says:

The Newsreader was inspired! Just about wet myself at Ambulance! Just didn't see it coming. lol Think it's going brilliant and can't wait for the repeat! And the next show! Gx

  24. lynn says:

Lastnights show was hilarious, my favourite bits were the staring bit, the newsreader, shouting on the bus, Falconhoof and the wee origami bit at the end (bye bye) but the original 'Right Ta' from the website is definitely better.

  25. Grysalis says:

Great show, love Falconhoof , Dee Dee is star of show !
his is the character that has transferred the best to TV.

Like the music , Who did the music for the end credits ?

  26. Robert Booth says:

Loved it, even better than last week and I thought last week was class… please tell us falcolnhoof is in every episode?

Loved the origami ending to had a real personable touch to it.

Ambulance was very funny and the save the earth sketch, not to mention the low slung jeans… brilliant stuff Brian you should be extremley proud of yourself.

Now you just need to get better at MW2 and all your dreams will be realised.

  27. Ross Milton says:

    Right, here we go…

I thought it was fucking brilliant. I don't know what was the matter with me last week, but I think you might need to be in the right frame of mind to love your show.

I laughed at everything except from the cartoon, and the sketches I've seen you do before (I still enjoyed them though). I felt the pacing was right and the jokes were just funny as fuck, simple as that.

The Jacqueline sketch was the funniest I've seen her, same with the unemployed cunt (John Paul?).

Well done Limmy and cheers for making a great show for us to look forward to for a few weeks.

I'm going to watch it again soon. “Pretty neat huh?”

  28. Daniel says:

falcon hoof was better this week.

i thought the ran over by an albulance sketch was funny as anythin, same with the right, ta.

i love the one with the guy trying to shoot some other guy but i dont understand it! is it from anything?

  29. jon1981 says:

Aye Lynn, My mrs was pissin herself at the bus bit – she said – 'ive laways wanted to do that' haha

  30. Lyle Kristeen says:

I really, really loved last night's show, I've watched it three times now – I was laughing so loud I woke my girlfriend up at 4am.

  31. davefaepaisley says:

I'm not being blown away to be honest Limmy.

Seems like you got a bit lazy and just took loads of stuff from World of Glasgow (which is class for some of the sketches and for all the people who never heard it). A wee bit more Jaqueline would be good though, she is by far the best.

Not liking the extras cast too much either, they bring something a big Mighty Boosh to it (in a bad way). The old cunt talking about the wolves was a bit gant to be honest.

I'll keep watching though. Hope it gets better. Sorry big man. Email me if you think I'm a cock!

  32. amyscottie says:

    LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!

  33. Limmy says:

You heard right, I'm maybe doing a second series.

I'm also maybe dying in a plane crash and maybe having cornflakes for breakfast.

Hahahahaha, sorry. Naw, nae idea if I'm getting another series yet.

  34. Limmy says:

    Thanks for your input.

  35. Limmy says:

I did the music with my own fair hands.

  36. Limmy says:

None of the characters are in every episode, Robert, but I think Falconhoof is on another two times.

    Glad ye liked it.

  37. Limmy says:

The detective guy is just a mix of old 80s stuff.

  38. Limmy says:

Thanks for all the comments, very much appreciated!

  39. lynn says:

    What's your email address?

    Only joking daveyfaepaisley.

  40. AndyRichX says:

Your shows better than other sketch shows for the simple fact it doesn't have a laugh track.

  41. Roach_LionelRichtea says:

    “Yer newsreader was Jim White…”

    Is that rhyming slang?

  42. Mike Palmer says:

Gona watch it again, forgot to mention the ambulance, bus and the guy covered in boils they were great. I like the elephant man sketch too, bet you were a proper raver in your heyday(WHY DID I JUST SAY HEYDAY)

  43. Roach_LionelRichtea says:

I thought both 'Right Ta's were shite. Although in last night's one, the actress was far better than the first internet version. More accomplished and just brought a level of gravitas not seen before in this sketch.

    Don't you agree?

  44. Pretty good overall – loved the newsreader and Falconhoof is class.
Ambulance made me p*ss meself laughing.

For a first series you've done well. I'll be back again next week.

  45. Spikybush says:

    brilliant mate!

Me and my b/f were pissin ourselves. Loved your rant on saving the planet, Dee Dee, falconhoof and the sannies skit.

Already found 2 ——–> on the pavement on the way to work!

    Can't wait for next week.

    x

  46. alanmc says:

Yer show is different class mate, about time somebody did proper Glaswegian paranoia comedy!
Dee Dee is hilarious, I know a lot of people like him…heard that Jan Hammer sketch on yer podcast about 3 years ago so it's even better to see it brought to life!
Falconhoof was class, so was the sketch where the door kept getting held open…
Are we going to see Tom or Blackpool Phil at all?? Tom the evil Christian is one of my favourites!
Good work mate, keep it up

  47. Robert Booth says:

It's the details like “Glory Scroll” that make it :) also great acting in all your sketches.

Still laugh out loudd thinking of you getting up from the ambulance “It's no… it's no…”

  48. Robert Booth says:

There's a great interview with Ricky Gervais out there about laugh tracks and the differences between American and British humour. Went along the lines that we don't like being told when to laugh it's either funny or it itsn't whereas a lot of comedy for international audience have to actually prompt the viewer with canned laughter.

  49. picklish says:

My favourites were Dee Dee, and the quick cheap laughs like the Bus and the Ambulance and the arrows on the ground. But, that's cos I see Dee Dee in me, and i'm a quick cheap kind of guy.

    Let's send these cunts everywhere.

  50. Kawwww says:

If you're the one on the receiving end, then aye, it was about that funny.

  51. Sorry Limmy but have to agree. Last week was alryt, couple of things didnae grip me but generally good overall. This week was sort of a let down tbh. Some good sketches in there but nothing over the top. Still gonna watch though and hoping for the best, and hopefully some more Mr Mulvaney

  52. Thought it was really good mate, last week's was a bit better but then ye cannae expect every episode to be equally equal.

Favourites from that were Falconhoof, Right ta and the staring; “Caught a dillion”, priceless.

  53. cheggy says:

aha brilliant how ye always add stuff that people think about practicily every day like in the lift when ye say “were aw thinkin aboot each other int we” and the awkwardness of bumpin into people ye know over and over at the same place and the ambulance scene is just legend, that stuff must take ye some time to think aboot xD
Never let anybody say your crap cause yer no :)

  54. Dougie Nixon says:

Limmy, your a genius! I thought you couldn't top last weeks but you had me howling yet again. Hilarious, its all me and my mates talk about, quoting lines from your show. I'm gonna try my best to do all the things like rip benny harvey and drawing arrows and hopefully more, the ambulance sketch had to be my favourite, the goin mental on the bus a very close second. Can't wait for next week's!!

  55. Bingabinga says:

I liked Dee Dee,MrMulvaney and J McCafferty. You could make a series out of JmcCafferty and Dee Dee have them as neighbours or brother and sister.
Cheers for putting it on Youtube.

  56. mick says:

Second show was better than the first, The bit on the bus was brilliant.

  57. nomnomdefail says:

I agree that the original 'right ta' clip on your website is much better. And the podcast of Jaqueline's job interview nearly killed me because it was so funny- and that was maybe because you played both parts? Shouting on the bus was great! And your Dee Dee character cracks me up. I really liked the halucination scene up that Finnieston Cran.

  58. thejoysofcider says:

Aye the bus was class. I'm still laughing at the sketch last week who kept getting caught pointing at others. The expression on yer face when the other you is shocked he see's ye is hilarious. Has me in stitches! Nearly coughed up a lung! heh

  59. clydeian says:

I think the pathos-filled bits have been the best bits: Dee Dee's da saying 'Whit happened tae you son', and Faclconhoof's look to camera when he hears about the girl he went to school with. And Jackie, obviously.

I'm surprised that such a cup-half-full-happy-go-lucky-always-look-on-the-bright-side-of-life-kind-of-guy like yourself would have had such a knack for tragedy.

  60. muig says:

Nobody has mentioned the Tits sketch. I think they are afraid to.

Limmy has torn the veil between consciousness and the subconscious.

  61. stillie says:

BingaBinga – canny find full episodes on the tubes! Fucks sake!

I thought the internet was hoachin wi piracy!

  62. The Mighty Quinn says:

    i LIKED it… a LOT!

  63. gordoal says:

Your show is moderately amusing with occasional flashes of brilliance, especially the slightly surreal bits that are not trying to be conventionally funny (apologies if that sounds daft), When you try to do 'funny' though you are crap. HOWEVER, MY JUDGEMENT IS COLOURED BY THE FACT THAT 'NURSE JACKIE' THE BEST SHOW ON TV IN AGES IS KICKED OFF A GOOD SPOT FOR YOU! Brilliant that BBC Scotland is supporting you but, c'moan……….

  64. chikafaz says:

Thought the first scene with the staring was brilliant and the bus scene. It was all great but those are the two i keep laughing at. My maw also enjoys it, she's made a point to watch it every week ha

  65. Limmy says:

    Thanks for the comments, everybody.

  66. Dubya B Yeats says:

Forgot about the shouting on the bus bit! Had me in stitches!! Superb.

  67. ssssstu says:

I'm sure when people first tuned into Little Britain or the Fast Show they weren't rolling about in hysterics. But look at Lou and Andy now, they appear on the telly and their is an expectation of something funny coming, I don't know much about comedy but I presume the expectation and anticipation makes it funnier. I think that comes through character development, and its certainly getting there with Dee Dee and Falconhoof already, Jacqueline just behind. I would like to see a lot more of the character based sketches and dash of quirky sketches to break them up, it feels vice versa just now. But hey its no my show is it and well done for getting it in the first place!

  68. Jonny says:

Didnae really like last weeks, this weeks wis much better though. Favourite sketches are probably Wee Gary, Adventure Call and the wee practical jokes (Shawshank Redemption, draw arrows under rocks)

  69. Galvanizer says:

Nae offence Limmy, but I've not been impressed wae the show at all. Your vids on the web were class and yer stand up was good an all but it's a pure struggle tae laugh. Anyway, glad every cunt else seems tae be liking it.

  70. stuladisco says:

Really entertaining! Plenty of laugh out loud moments as well as arty bits and strange things to think about…. the same combination i'm sure thats had people visiting this site for years.
I like the wee touches throughout the show too, the elephant man dancing to david bowie ( what inspired you to do that! ) ,the boils guy and the origami….

and thanks pirate guy for getting it on youtube!

  71. Boaby says:

'right ta' on the web version is made all the better by the wee change of hands you did after holding the left one out for the whole jog. But on the telly one it was just a bit sillier and deliberately over the top. Maybe too much so. Still good to see it.
Someone mentioned liking the moments of pathos and I agree; they're what cheer up my dark soul the most. Consequently Falconhoof is my favourite so far. I liked the newsreader and the tits thing. Whenever some affected stuttery ponce is on the telly I shall be reminded of tits. For that I can only thank you.

  72. miliken says:

Ive sat and read all comments and there are very mixed opinions about your show. i hope you get more work from this but if i were you i'd make a feature length film, loads of dreams sequences, madness, music, colour, im sure you could pull it off with a good crew, then sell the thing.. im sure its as easy as that if you produce the goods. American warewolf is funny as fuck! so are a lot of the voices you do”pure waste” ha ha i would love to see some backstory of the characters, im sure Dee Dee had high hopes, maybe still does.

  73. johnnyorgan says:

The 80s action guy doesn't work for me, personally. I thought I would get it as the series went on, or there would be more of a reveal about what the hell it's meant to be about and it would make more sense. Maybe I've just not seen the things that inspired it…?

Sometimes the editing can seem a little slow…but in general I like the pace the show moves at.

Falcon Hoof has been the main surprise. His sketches have been great and the rest of the show makes me smile and snigger in frequent bursts. The characters are, in general, very funny. Jacqueline McCafferty sketches are top drawer and would fit into any great catchphrase-y type sketch shows like The Fast Show or Harry Enfield. Really enjoying it.

  74. gill5252 says:

Loved it, 2 better than one. Looking forward to next weeks.
Hope you get a second series.

  75. abdelbassettslicoriceallsorts says:

I mean your last two shows were alright if you like laffing like a fuckin' hyena and embarrasing yourself in front of the other inmates like a big fuckin' Jessie.

  76. jamiepoo says:

Thought the sketch with the “tits tits tits tits tits tits tits tits ” was superb! Really enjoying Falconhoof too – that was really good last night.

Looking forward to next week! Does anyone else have Limmy Show gatherings now? 3 of my pals have come round both nights it's been on… We watch it on the iPlayer so there's a total wait til we see it.. Kinda like the build up though!! ha ha

  77. karlheinzrummenigge says:

for me: mr mulvennie and falconhoof are my favourites.

  78. donknee says:

I say Mr Lim …… superb again.
    Ok.

  79. Mark In Clogs says:

Shug, yer aboot as funny as a food fight in Ethiopia.

  80. joefritzl says:

when ye hittin us with another video blog limmy?

    they are enjoyable.

  81. Jack91 says:

Thought it was a good start last week Limmy, but this weeks show was really good- a lot of uncontrollable burst out laughing moments for me. The ambulance bit was brilliant, and even though it was short I thought that was the best part. I thought the falconhoof sketch was ok last week, but this week i found it hilarious. Almost all the sketches made me laugh and i thought it was really well done this week. Hope it continues to get better!
Just one question, will Phil from the podcasts be making any appearances on the show or is that material 'too hot for tv'?

PS I find it funny how Benny Harvey's bebo has basically turned into a memorial site

  82. John K says:

Benny Harvey Doesnt Have a bebo

He Has An R.,I.P Group Lol

  83. Elaine says:

I wonder if many other folk find that they laugh more when watching it again?…I doubt that much comedy material would work in the same way when watched again fairly soon after the first viewing (apart from the parallel bars scene in one of the Pink Panther films)

I find masel chuckling away during the day suddenly at wee bits like 'punny eccy', the shiteness of the questions Jacqueline was asked at her interview & how Dee Dee begins his sentence wi a casual “fuckin'…”

  84. nomnomdefail says:

What I like most is the surrealism. The psychotic introspection and hallucination type scenes. I like the way that the scenes link with those double takes.. Like when you look round and you're in a different scene listening to that old guy talking absolute shite about breeding dogs. Reminds me of periods in my life when I have a brief moment of clarity and escape from my self induced myasma. At times like these you 'observe' the absurdity of your surroundings. And your show is on the verge of capturing this beautifully.

  85. Elaine says:

Unintended, meant like the man himself! Although I like the cut of your jib (or is it gib?)

  86. Tom says:

Run over by the ambulance and the newsreader were the best parts… but I thought it was only okay, not amazing. Haven't seen the first episode though.

  87. andy says:

    elaine thats spot on.
during the day i get random flashbacks of one liners fae the show.

when i first watched “what would you do?” on youtube, the clowns voice stuck in my head for ages.

    fuckin kill them aw!

  88. andy says:

its awready there stevie boy, its untagged.

    the uploader is called 'mrnewideas'

type that in and you've got the job.

  89. Sam says:

Brilliant! Someone mentions the 80's guy chasing the villain, one of my absolute favourites! Btw, I just not long discovered Limmy – and I fuckin love your stuff man. Seeing you on TV now is an exciting thing but gotta watch the BBC, they might try to muscle in in some way and maybe ruin you or slow you down. Great show so far though!

  90. alsybob says:

thought they were both great with this weeks just edging it.jaqueline and dee dee are always quality, but over the two episodes the newsreader, ambulance, and paper aeroplane sketches were funny as fuck.too many good points to mention but the only thing i dont like is the wee gary sketches.top drawer when the newsreader finished with a “pretty neat huh”,wasn,t expecting that

  91. Limmy says:

    Thanks again for the comments.

  92. arielydia says:

Hey Limmy. Really enjoying the series. Just got round to watching this week's episode thanks to glorious Sky+, and, personally, I though it was much better than last week's, as a complete programme anyway. Have to admit I struggled with the slow pace last time. That's all really. Oh, and I'll totally be taking the credit for the doppelganger sketch since I was the one who pointed it out to you in the first place, mmmk? OMG, LOL, etc etc.

  93. injammiesat3pm says:

v good. v funny. also…you are kind of hot in a thom yorke/dude from sooty show kind of way.

  94. captainbinbag says:

I thought it was pretty good this week. I thought Falconhoof, Jaqueline and the wee cartoon guy were all better last week though. Last week's Falconhoof sketch was better cos it had a bit of sadness in it, it was a bit surreal. “i dunno, climb out the windae.” Your show's still better than 99% of any other scottish comedy though, looking forward to the rest of the series if you dont get pulled for 'Takeabreakgate.'

  95. Skeet says:

I personally prefer the online stuff.

To me, Limmy is best when he captures the essence of Scottish black humour – sarcasm, aggression, excessive consumption, casual swearing, and the ability to laugh at yourself even though your life is shite.

I think it's a shame it's on BBC – it feels like it's been watered down.
If Channel 4 commissioned this, I bet it'd be so much funnier…

  96. chikafaz says:

I just watched it again on bbc iplayer and absolutly pissed my laughing at the way you say “SHETLAND!!” Belter

  97. christ on a bike says:

first chance i've had to see it just there….. absolutely brilliant.

    falconhoof is genius

  98. Lee says:

I am immensely proud of you.

  99. lynn says:

I am immensely proud of you.

  100. Falconhoof was particularly gruelling. “Let's see if you can escape the well.”

    I loved it.

  101. Personally I didn't enjoy it as much as last week, but there's folk who are saying that they preferred it, so it looks like you're making a balanced show that hits everyone's buttons. Nice.

  102. fish says:

Only just got round to watching but it was better than the first week. Loved it.

    Pretty neat, huh?

  103. Stevie Boy says:

    thanks Andy

  104. gordy says:

limmy watched the show again, and having smoking skunk this time its still poor as fuck.
    sorry mate

  105. Clark says:

    Hey Limmy,

I have really enjoyed your show.

This week i liked the start of the show, the doppleganger, Jaqueline, right ta and ambulence. I felt pretty bad for falkenhoof.

I was entertained for the duration of the show and i think thats what its all about.

Look forward to the next episode and have emailed the BBC to share this view.

    All the best,

    Clark.

  106. alcook says:

    It was great!

I liked the first episode but this was better.

    Falconhoof was brilliant!

  107. alcook says:

    Oh Aye,

    The Ambulance too.

    That nearly ended me.

  108. Edward says:

such a great show, i missed the first 2 episodes but watched them on iplayer, episode 2 was so good, the timing of the sketches is perfect, holding the door open one was so good haha. can't wait to see the others, i've got it series linked now. it has a very tim and eric feel to it, it's brilliant keep up the excellent work.

oh and 'pull up yer troosers!'

  109. Nick says:

much better than week 1 – plenty of proper laughs in this one :D

  110. Saw the show on Saturday night just after Heroes (good slot by the way, tell your BBC overlords!) and really enjoyed it. the schoolyard drawings are really good, as is the ginger side kick type guy. Fantastic Shetland accent!

  111. bibjnkljjkobgchg says:

sorry, but absolute total shite. no even remotely funny, git a real job

  112. james says:

watched episode 3 last night its the best so far the falcon hoof was dynamite and the guy in the kitchen geein the fryin pan a wee dunt in front of the knife ..

mr mulvaney is brilliant aswell your gonna need to do one where he reherses until hes satisfied hes got his story straight then he actually gets pulled up by the polis and cannae handle it.

  113. stu says:

love the dee dee sketches. showed my maw and she wasnt impressed haha.

  114. Phil says:

    I think I love Falconhoof a bit, and I'm a straight bloke.

Any truth in the rumour i just made up about seeing the Limmy Show on Blu Ray in time for Easter?

  122. budatruda says:

I'd (sadly!) never heard of Limmy before seeing him on his tv show. I echo somebody's earlier comment – hope the BBC don't “dilute” you. Absolutely brilliant – They MUST give you another series…and another…and another…
