  7. andy says:

im hoping for a john paul sketch tonight. iv got a pal called john paul mcafferty!

tv guide says mulvaney is back am looking forward to that.
what about the random sketch limmy will wee see that at some point?

  8. Dougie Nixon says:

Yass canny wait. First two episode's have been hilarious!

  9. ripvanjim says:

Why don't you make your own show and website then? Show us how it's done.

  10. picklish says:

On the last thread the same kind of shit was happening to me. Fuckin Poe's Law in action

    http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=...

  11. Best one of the three imo. Pure class. Pishin maself at tht falconhoof one. The last one aswell was great aswell. Peach.

  12. Dougie Nixon says:

I have not been dissapointed. Limmy, your hilarious mate hope you go far. “geed the pan a jab infront ae the kitchen knife” a was pissin maself at that one, and the end. Im well buyin the series Dvd

  13. John K says:

Awell i just thought you were a hardcore take a break reader disgruntled by limmys

    racist slayings of prostitute's

  14. clydeian says:

    Ja! Das Scorpions!

That's half the series away and still no sign of the “He Likes You” sketch, though. Fuck's sake.

  15. mckillop says:

Gutted there was no sketch to wind up people who didn't watch the show tonite

  16. xbrandxnewx says:

good show tonight but i probably liked this show the least! still good, just not as good as the other two shows!
the deedee sketch and Mr Mulvaney sketch was epic as usual though!
liked the “die tonight one” aswell! end sketch was good too! as i said, still a good show! looking forward to the next one!

  17. John K says:

Thought the show was top drawer this week
Falconhoof Mulvaey the random comments fae the boiled face at the door raymond mearns gingers scene and the portal sketch all hilarious

Will this be released on dvd ?

Hope you get a 2nd series

  18. Definitely the best one so far!
The sketch about the americanisms was fantastic
    Lloydspharmacy.
    Brilliant!

  19. cheggy says:

lol deedee was legend like always xD haha blonde is ginger xD and the first scot to meet romans was hilerious xD

Deedee and jaquiline are my favourate :D

  20. Twin says:

The presedence has been set this show is dry pish.
and as nickster says woefully unfunny,
ripvanjim peaple dont make tv shows because they are blessed with the knowledge that it could be like limmys show, totally pish and save us all the pain by not bothering.
Limmy ride the wave the noo, cause unless your pish changes you will just be a distant memory (thank fuck!!!!!!!!!!)

  21. Awizlik.... says:

Really enjoyed the show again tonight Limmy – but where the fuck is John Paul???

Thought I saw Karl from “Maison Ronnie” on Cathcart Rd as a Roman extra on tonight's show.

  22. Precedence*. People*. Don't*. Limmy's*.

Learn to spell, mate. LERN 2 SPEL. Maybe when you come out of Primary 1, you'll be in the proper mindset to make a judgement on television program quality.

  23. Have to say Limmy, this episode felt a bit less funny than the other two. I don't know why really. Seemed a bit too serious in places and not as light-hearted as before.

  24. Thought this weeks episode was really dark.

Loved Falconhoof, definitely the best sketch this week :)

  25. Mike Palmer says:

That last sketch was fucking brilliant along with Dee Dee and the 1st Roman. I hope you kicked fuck out of that wee ned in Clydebank for ruining the shot?

  26. andy says:

    its so surreal man.

falconhoof had me near pishin myself at the start and i thought this would be the best episode, then it skews off into weirdness again.

im a big fan and im a wee bit disappointed. its all watchable but its not all that funny.

dee-dee, jaq mcaff and falconhoof are carrying the rest of it. i wish you'd stick to the brilliant world of glasgow type stuff, but i appreciate you cant get away with all that on the bbc. sorry but thats how i feel.

  27. John K says:

Explain i didnt see a wee ned runing a shot

  28. Dubya B Yeats says:

    'to make a judgement'

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0103064/

    Careful, Mark. Haha!!

p.s. Why the fuck is episode 3 not on iplayer? What am I supposed to do? BASTARDS!!!!

  29. pharMAcy lol

i don't think it was the best mate, but it did have its moments. missed the thing to do for those who didn't watch the show, i love those bits x

  30. Mike Palmer says:

The bit in Clydebank where Limmy is walking through and he starts freaking out to the sales signs you see this wee cunt run in with his hands up and then back out again.

  31. kebab1701 says:

Ahh shite hadn't logged in to post a comment, Yeah i actually thought this was the best episode, some good laughs falconhoof with the sandals, the wee guy in the pub talking about blondes being gingers in sweden and deedee were the stand outs for me. It just missed having a jaqueline mccafferty sketch! Is there any word on a DVD after the series is finished?

..But then i go on to see if there is post show game of xbox modern warfare on the go only to see ive been deleted from your friends list ya cock :-P

  32. Dubya B Yeats says:

    “Whit's wrong wi' us?”

I must have watched the planes hit the twin towers a few hundred times. Also watched JFK's head getting blown apart numerous times.

    “Whit's wrong wi' us?”

  33. erikgeddes says:

Derrick and his stoned-logic antics in the kitchen were very funny…
Your best half our on TV so far, good work!

  34. tivert says:

Personally, i think the episodes have grown in strength each week.Falconhoof was great this week. Some of the shorter sketches were good too.The phone box sketch was on the button, as were the Americanisms & bus stop sketches.

In a first proper series, it is always going to be difficult to know exactly what is going to work on the television.I do feel people expect too much though, rather than enjoy the variety on offer.

I 'd liken the series so far to a box of Quality street.Lots of toffee Pennies & a few coffee cremes. But the wide selection has kept a 39 year old & 18 year old avidly awaiting next week's surprises!

  35. Grysalis says:

The Chihuahua sketch was twisted plus Dee Dee's kitchen , thats you at your best for me, nothing try hard about it, hypnogogic comedy keep it coming!

  36. John K says:

    Mike palmer

kl m8 never noticed it keep my eye oot fir it the next time a watch it but

  37. Limmy says:

You can't get done for copying it onto an Etch-A-Sketch, just checked, you're fine.

  38. Grysalis says:

guessed all 3 in the shapes and colours game was well pleased.
    you will die at midnight

  39. Limmy says:

The random sketch was just a one off.

  40. Limmy says:

Ye recognised The Scorpions? Haha. When passion rules the game! Yeah yeah, OOOOH.

  41. Limmy says:

There's gonnae be a John Paul in every episode now.

  42. Limmy says:

Aye, there's gonnae be a DVD, don't know when, though.

  43. Limmy says:

The song played for Dee Dee is Spanish Castles in Space, by The Orb.

  44. Limmy says:

JP will be all the episodes now.

  45. John K says:

Limmy a want a discount on the dvd when its realeased n al gee yeh a few pointers on MW 2 ha :P

  46. Limmy says:

Haha, aye, I spotted him watching it back in the edit. In he runs, away he runs. I could have cut him out, but I kept him in as a special reward.

  47. Limmy says:

Don't apologise for not finding it funny. The stuff I put in the show reflects the sort of stuff I'm into, and not all of it is funny. Some of it is just a straightforward story or a wee idea I think's a bit interesting.

People who go like that “I was laughing all the way through”, I think “How could you be?”

  48. Limmy says:

There's gonnae be a DVD, but I don't know when.

  49. Limmy says:

    Thanks. It's Dee Dee.

  50. Limmy says:

    Aye, Raymond's funny.

  51. Limmy says:

Thanks for all the comments, everycunt!

  52. lynn says:

    Don't diss' the laughers man

  53. jon1981 says:

Thought last night was really good – my best bits were Dee Dee, The bit your doing the kidon stand up at 'lolz comedy club' and when that we doug gets wheeled in to dance for you.

Ps and its quality when Falconhoof forgets and slips out of character for a few words!

    Jon

  54. filmdroidcom says:

    Really liked Falconhoof last night.
You know there's a Falconhoof on twitter, is that you?

  55. BennyHarveysGhost says:

Licence money well spent. Falconhoof is a surprise favourite and I am really enjoying the series so far.

  56. Twin says:

So the only thing you can pick me up on is spelling and punctuation.
You might as well have started with, You canny spell, You canny spell.
If anyone is acting like a pre pubescent kid it’s you.
Anyway you did agree with me eventually by saying “Have to say Limmy, this episode felt a bit less funny than the other two.”
A bit on the fence there dont you think. You say you dont know why, I`ll tell you why, It wasn`t funny period..
And by the way definition of dark is, grim, hopeless. Look it up.

  57. Twin says:

Your watching his show and thinking its funny thats wits wrang wie yeh.
Ats right limmy, bite the hand that feeds.

  58. jimmy_cliff says:

Who knew that Falconhoof would turn out to be the star of the show? Tremendous. DeeDee's kitchen freakout was comedy gold – nae other cunt could come up with something like that. Is he getting the bus to Yoker at any point in the series? Looking forward to John Paul's return, but slightly scared.

And I'm enjoying the uncomfortable moments on the sofa every Monday night when my (English) wife glances over and quizzically asks “Do you get this? Is it a Glasgow thing or what? I don't really understand it.” Shut it.

Two more things before I go – last week got to use “Right, ta” twice with some stranger in the office and ended up with a bad fit of the giggles. And did anyone else spot the swings from the pilot pop up in the first episode of the new Rab C Nesbitt? Plagarising basturd.

  59. Lenny says:

I've been enjoying the show so far but you’ve got to let it grow on you. Loads of cunts in work have dismissed it after seeing only a couple of the sketches but I think there have been 4 or 5 gems in every episode that make it worth watching.

The traveller on the phone to Falconhoof stole the show this week

  60. Limmy says:

    Nae Dee Dee Yoker, sorry!

  61. Limmy says:

    “It wasn`t funny period..”

There was a wee bit about you in episode 3!

  62. Limmy says:

I never did Falconhoof in my live shows, but I did think about doing a stand-up adventure game once, before thinking “Naw, fuck that”. I've no really thought about developing him or anything, my brain is currently switched off.

  63. Limmy says:

I don't know the name of the song, I got it from a royalty free music site, there ye go.

    Thanks!

  64. Limmy says:

Big shout out and maximum respect to the laughers.

  65. lynn says:

'Pilot episode was hilarious, your first episode in series was amazing…'

Connor, are you trying to get an invite over to Limmy's house?

  66. Spikybush says:

    Fab show last night!

Falconhoof was the highlight for me with Dee Dee a close second. Only thing is that my b/f was all upset that there was no “what if we all…” this week. Poor bugger! I think that if you told him to stand naked in the middle of George Square he would bloody do it!

Looking forward to the next one and glad to here that there is a DVD on it's way. Sorts out birthday pressies for the rest of the year!

    x

  67. Is it just me or did I hear the Roman guards say “Lorem Ipsum” and “Tutti Fruiti”?

  68. Joseph Elms says:

Will the Greatest Limmy Sketch of All Time be making an appearance mate?

  69. AndyRichX says:

DeeDee should get a spin off. Falconhoof is dynamite as well.

  70. chikafaz says:

Thought episode 3 was the funniest of them so far. I wasn't so keen on falconhoof in the 1st episode but i thought last night's was a cracker. And I picked all the right shapes and colours which i was amazed with haha. Dee Dee was brilliant aswell this week and the old guy in the empty pub. :)

  71. ianbeale says:

Got to say, I liked this show the best – more Limmy we're used to. Surprised to say, but Flaconhoof is turning out to be my favorite (Americanism) behind Jacqueline. Good sketches, witty and far better than previous weeks' episodes – thought lloydspharmacy was brilliant.

Who's the lassie that works with you, the one that was “leaving you” last night? – My pal, ahem, thinks she's lovely.

Keep up the good work, and aye, I'll but the DVD when oot.

  72. ianbeale says:

apologies about last post – Falconhoof, not flaconhoof and “buy” the DVD, not “but”

    Fanny

  73. Kawwww says:

    B. A. M. N.

    BAMN CONCEPTS.

  74. Limmy says:

    Thanks.

    Her name is Debbie Welsh.

  75. Limmy says:

Hahahaha. Ain't no muthufucka making her lose her muthafuckin shit on stage, maaaaan.

  76. fraserg says:

where's the youtube links for the ex pats

    a round of drinks

  77. Limmy says:

No, you heard it. We had some Latin, but I stuck in Tutti Frutti and Lorem Ipsum as a wee nod and wink to everybody who likes Tutti Frutti ice cream or who has ever had to copy and paste in some placeholder text.

  78. ringsting says:

like the show Limmy, wish i was loving it as i love all your internet stuff but i am finding it hit and miss just now but think the show is a grower, i thought the falconhoof sketch was mince in the first episode but now it is on each show, it kinda grows on you and is hillarious…also i think the limmys show logo coming up all through the show is a bad move, always makes me think i am watching naked video from years back. also think you would be good at movies or acting in general, funny or not…you seem so at ease infront of the camera.

just also a wee note, i only started watching the i player in the last few weeks, is the volume level meant to go up to 11 or is that just me?

  79. prittstcik_v_seabiscuit says:

    Limmy; question:

I liked the Dee Dee character, which is very well observed.
    But how well observed?
Obviously central to his stoner persona is his lathargic, slow moving pace of life.
But is the name Dee Dee in fact drawn from the americanism “d-d” (slang for di-di mao meaning “go quickly”) commonly heard in Vietnam set military films such as Platoon or Deerhunter? It would be ironic since obviously this is opposite to the character's central characteristic and also ironic as I believe you have a dislike for the Americanism. Is this the case? Have you been running with an underlying joke aimed at the watching audience?
    That would be unacceptable.

  80. Your best one yet Limmy, I just watched it in i Player all the way over in Cardiff. Loved the “i'm gonna divorce you” bit

  81. Limmy says:

“also i think the limmys show logo coming up all through the show is a bad move”

    Bad move, haha.

  82. Limmy says:

He's called Dee Dee cos his name is Derek Dury.

  83. Limmy says:

Glad you like that bit of gritty urban realism!

  84. Lilalu says:

    Fuck off you wanker.

  85. prittstcik_v_seabiscuit says:

    Thought so.

  86. prittstcik_v_seabiscuit says:

Are you definately sure though cos once an i-pods engraved its engraved.

  87. Jack91 says:

My favourite of the lot so far, had me laughing right the way through! Falconhoof and Dee Dee were quality as usual and i liked the guy pretending to be a comedian. Nice twist at the end of the show aswell! Never thought i'd like surreal comedy, but turns out i do.

Hope the DVD comes out by May so someone can get me it for my birthday! Modus operandi?? Naw that cannae be right.

  88. Jack91 says:

Aw aye and, Will Blackpool Phil be in the show at all? the podcasts with him had me in stitches!

  89. Kate says:

How do I contact the BBC to let them know I like the show? Could some nice person put up a link? Is it the English BBC or BBC Scotland I should be contacting?

  90. stillie says:

Somecunt get it Tubed for expats wi fuck all else to do!

  91. boabiemackie says:

Great show last night man, loads of funny bits but loads of off kilter stuff as well. I agree with all the other comments about the Dee Dee sketch, it was quality! Me and my flatmate were ending ourselves at that.

The sketch at the end was also brilliant but not in a obviously funny way. Watching it reminded me of when you were a kid watching a film with your parents and there's a bit in the film with a sex scene and nobody in the room says anything and it's all a wee bit awkward. Anybody else get that or was it just me?

  92. andytfromthemightycoatbridge says:

Best episode yet…. I dont know why I like it but my favourite sketch was the one with the persian cat…. “Dance for me”, “Do your little turn

HHAHAHHA It was a peach of an episode

  93. Jack91 says:

Persian Cat? Was it not a chihuahua dog?

  94. andy says:

    im sure its different swings.

the rab c team shot the swing scene in dalmuir park clydebank. the tank commander crew were here anaw, and also the still game/chewin the fat massive.

    clydebank is scotlands hollywood boulevard.

  95. ripvanjim says:

    Tbone, aye it does.

  96. Elaine says:

I enjoy the show & think maybe episode 3 had a wee edge on the other two. At first I was willing it all to be hilarious, for my entertainment & also it's success but now I'm quite into the ups & downs. I'm sure if I could see masel viewing it I'd veer between proper laughter, smirking & looking uncomfy.

I was dying to shout at the telly “aye well you didn't have the winged sandals smart erse”. I bet whoever gives Falconhoof instruction through his earpiece is a right coont to work for (sorry can't bring masel to say it properly)

  97. scotty17 says:

“if I was to write my name on a bus shelter, i wouldn't use a lighter” class!

Dee Dee & Falconhoof were ace too.

Is it because Britain's Got Talent didn't visit Scotland 1st time round (SNP should use that as it's main policy argument btw…haha brilliant again), us in the Republic of Manchester have to wait until after midnight to see the show? I've wrote to BBC to complain

    Nice one Limmy!

  98. Mark In Clogs says:

Falconhoof, Dee Dee and Smackaline McCafferty are superb as is John Paul.. overall it merits a second series btw.. nothing like this on TV so well dan Limmy san.

  99. joecoffey says:

my dog is now consused because i have changed his name to mr mulvaney….suits.

    that is all

  100. kieran says:

“YOU'RE GONNA DIE! TONIGHT!” loved it limmy keep it up

  101. BigRoundBaby says:

    ALways appreciated Pirate!, cheers.

  102. Jason says:

Excellent stuff again Limmy. Done well with the series so far!

  103. murphy says:

    cheers mucker

  104. Mr_Horse says:

Here Limmy love your work so far and last night's episode was by far the best yet, but I've got a wee question. If you can't stand American phrases and words creeping into our vocabulary and every day use then why do you have a programme called a 'Show'? Why's it no just called 'Limmy's Programme' or just 'Limmy'? Eh? Eh?

  105. Cooksi1 says:

Were you at the Burniston previews at The Quay?

  106. Limmy says:

Cos it's based on “the shows”.

  107. spikemac says:

Your blog is funnier than the show!!!! Pure mince Limmy no chance of a second series.

  108. lynn says:

So was I but what do you care?

  109. jonnyg69 says:

My favourite episode so far. More piss urself laughin moments in this one. Falconhoof and Dee Dee are the standouts for me. Everytime I think about the “geed the pan a jab infront ae the kitchen knife” line it still makes me laugh. For me it's like all the best comedies where you have to watch it two or three times to get the most out if it.

  110. andytfromthemightycoatbridge says:

HAHAHAH, aye mate… ma heads nippin…. Pfft, I need to sort my life out

  111. andytfromthemightycoatbridge says:

I agree mate… Although it was clearly a wee dunt!

  112. andytfromthemightycoatbridge says:

Eh, Limmy… See the sketch where you were gettin dumped then the girl seen your apron ? Wits that all about?

    LOL @ LLOYDSPHARMACY (ONEWORD)

  113. jacksquib says:

here btw mate this show is fuckin class
ps whats the song called wher the chiwawa dances ?
its a belter ae a show man thanks :)

  114. Sonia says:

Thanks pirate! Loads of stuff I liked about this episode but the sketch with the guy pretending to be a comedian was absolutely brilliant. The Dee Dee sketch cracked me up as well.

  115. Bingabinga says:

Cheers Pirate I will watch it tonight.

  116. fraserg says:

pirate we have never met but I really thank you, what a nice guy

    a round of drinks?

  117. joefritzl says:

last sketch was a belter. so was falconhoof.

columbian drug lord guy was good anol.

Dee dee was also a good one this week.

  118. thejoysofcider says:

    Dee Dee for president!

  119. karlheinzrummenigge says:

i'm enjoying the series so far Limmy, the only thing that's annoyin me is that Mr Mulvaney's eyebrows are much more 'spongy' than in the pilot episode – and i just cannae get away fae them eyebrows.

  120. Limmy says:

Thanks for all the comments, everybody. Glad yous liked it.

  121. Been a fan ever since someone send me the link to your Xylophone! Number 3 was the best show yet – as noted above Falconhoof stood out as a winner. For some reason the character reminds me of Kieron Elliot (formally of Paisley & Crief) who pops up on random Sky TV channels now and again.

Love the old boy in the deserted pub – the confused sweep into the sketch give me a fantastic Irvine Welsh Marabou Stork Nightmares moment.

Anyway – that's my wanky review! Nice one Limmy!

  122. Adol Fitler says:

Love the attention to every day detail. Please do a whole series devoted to Adventure Call, that is a stroke of genius.

  123. marky says:

Love the show. Love the america bashing, too! As an american, it surprises me how much folks in the UK use americanisms. My favorite is “you look a million dollars!” – Don't you know that's only half a million pounds? Looking forward to eps 4-6. Thanks for being originally funny

  124. annmarie_mccafferty says:

Really liking the programme, Limmy. Didn't know anything about your internet stuff before but I'm catching up with it now.
Dee dee is superb, falconhoof great also, and I loved the jaded colombian gangster getting the wee dug to dance for him in this episode. You're a good actor too and that helps the character sketches. Better than yer stand-up comedy pals! Will we get to see the english knob who does some of the voice-overs e.g. from the limmy-go-round? Bet you could go to town with him.

By the way, gettting a bit of stick for my name, but I'm embracing it by wearing a blond wig and sporting a 5'o'clock shadow

  125. Kenny says:

Is there gonna be a dvd oot of the series?

  126. stillie says:

Is there gonna be a second series?

Is John Paul gonna be in the series?

Is it gonna be on the iPlayer?

Is there gonna be a DVD?

Can a fuckin scroll about 10 posts up?

    Can a fuckin read?

    Can a fuck man.

  127. CalumM says:

I met this English DJ on holiday, and every second word was some vile sexual patter. He offered to buy me and my pals' drinks for the rest of the holiday if one of us got our fist up a lassie's arse and filmed it. Every time he spoke I just kept thinking of Phil. “32 chops!”

  128. gillies22 says:

Just got back from 10 days in Lanzarote, so just caught up wae Episodes 2 & 3 there oan BBCi Player oan the PS3 (snazzy or wit)…

Thought they were a lot better than the first episode, thought the adventure call fae ep2 (is that u ped) was fuckin hillarious, n the “a want u inside me” bit hud me in stitches. The statue thing in ep.3 wis funny aswell lol.

Lookin forward tae the next yin :D well in limmy.

  129. Zapper says:

Show is the best thing ever if i wasnt a bbc employee i'd well shout at ewan saying how great it is, your frankie boyle x10 (mainly for depth and range)

Bst of luck with the rest of the show

    i'm lovin it

  130. Limmy says:

  132. Leonard Nimoy says:

I hope you realise that all the people that complain and say your show isn't funny are morons that can't understand surreal or abstract humour, so don't worry about that.

still pish – its so bad – I can't believe you are getting paid for this

    DEAREST BBC,

At first I wasn't laughing and, as an American, the accent was tough, but after 5 minutes it hit me: great cultural satire, all in its own unique – and hilarious – voice and tone. Way too smart for ITV and not instantaneously catchy enough for Channel 4, it certainly deserves to be on television and that's why BBC should commission more episodes.

    ——————–

Unfortunately those bastards limit you to 350 characters, a term which they use to describe spaces ie the lack of a character, so I didn't have the opportunity to explain that this is one of the few shows which uses surrealist humour to in the service of witty and relevant satire, but hopefully they'll get the point that this is the best television to watch stoned since Cowards (I know I know that was only a few months ago but Limmy can't control the quality of programmes which come out before or after his, but only the quality of his alone, so the fact that Limmy's Show is the best since only a few months ago speaks more to the high quality of Cowards than it does to the quality of Limmy's Show).

PS Thanks for not imposing a character limit like those bastards over at the BBC. I heard they were going to start cutting down on their internet expenditures but I didn't realise that meant savings through preventing us from expressing our views.

Keep up the good work mate, yer a legend .,,/

  138. Leman_Russ says:

This is really taking shape well mate! Like anything worth it's salt, it is a little hard to get into at first, mostly due to the fact that it is like nothing else out there, which is a compliment of the highest order.

I have re-watched the 3 episodes currently available countless times and love it all. Falconhoof is so very very upsetting, and gives me a feeling I have never got from a comedy show before. Superb.

I look forward to watching the rest and have emailed the BBC to congratulate them on their decision to air this.

    Excellent stuff.

    (Ya BEAST)

Just watched episode 1, Paper Airplane is gold. Episode 3 the kitchen sketch was hilarious too.

I think I enjoy the show watching it knowing that it isn't all meant to be funny. Some of it is just weird or thought provoking.

  140. DeeGee says:

What made you randomly hit out with “You’re Pure Skeeshers”? Hahaha, what does it even mean?

By the way, people keep talkin about a thing called a “Shawshank Redemption”. Wit the fuck is that?

    Boo-Baloo;)

  141. dave says:
