There’s quite a good reason for that. National statistics reveal that in 2007-8 there were almost 5,000 racially motivated crimes, many of which will have relied on words like ‘Paki’ as both motive and defence.

Right lets look at the facts here. The BNP have been democratically voted into the EU. This is something we have to accept whether we like it or not. I personally think it is a sad sad state of affairs that it has came to this. The BNP will now be entitled to some degree of funding and a means of conversing with other right wing parties from across Europe, like the ones in Hungary Austria and Germany. It just goes to show what apathy can do in the political field. These sort parties flourish in climates such as this, and although I believe the BNP will never gain any great political power in this country they will certainly cause a nuisance. What I would like to see is Nick Griffin in political debate, as I believe that the policies of his party are intrinsically wrong, racist and wholeheartedly supremacist. As far as the holocaust denial goes, Yes NG and AB are entitled to their opinion but that opinion is particularly controversial and as politicians they should be expected to justify themselves. I don’t know why they believe what they do (although Nick Griffin claims he no longer denies becuae he is bound by EU laws) but the main reason for denial is anti-semitic. Now I don’t know if you have ever walked round the old jewish quater of Berlin but there seems to be a great deal more bullet holes in the residential buildings around that area as well as a lot of plaques outside houses with the information of who lived there and what camps they were taken to. I was just pointing out the shortcomings of the philosophy behind the British National Party as it pertains to the recent history of what is now Great Britain. It’s like haveing a “We love cake” party that’s against Flour, Eggs, Sugar and Butter.
Let’s get this clear, there is a huge difference between colonisation and immigrant workers working for peanuts sleeping five a room in run down houseing as a threat to ones national identity.

We are and mostly always have been a multicultural society.
Our History as “British” is indeed a recent development on the grand scheme of things.
The “British National Party” appears to be attacking the very foundation of what made us “British” in the first place.
I have nothing against patriotism, but for the BNP to rally support from the masses as if we are some sort of master “Race” that must be preserved is some what disgusting, ill educated and ironically what our predecessors actually fought rather bravley against.
My main point stands. the BNP do not understand “Britishness” they are white supremacists riding on the worries and fears of the majorty race in these countries and trying to turn people against each other largly based on the colour of thier skin under the veneer of patriotism.
Some cultural differences especially on aspects of law are worth arguing over, democracy is indeed better than nothing, but remember Hitler was democratically elected, on the back of a disillousioned society. We should all be careful where we turn our frustrations.
The route problem I believe lies in our current crop of politians, no longer working for us or with us but for themselves. The BNP now have thier grubby hands well and truly in the cookie jar and will no doubt enjoy all the benifits and expenses that that entails.
There has to be a better way than electing one self important twat over another.

Right lets look at the facts here. The BNP have been democratically voted into the EU. This is something we have to accept whether we like it or not. I personally think it is a sad sad state of affairs that it has came to this. The BNP will now be entitled to some degree of funding and a means of conversing with other right wing parties from across Europe, like the ones in Hungary Austria and Germany. It just goes to show what apathy can do in the political field. These sort parties flourish in climates such as this, and although I believe the BNP will never gain any great political power in this country they will certainly cause a nuisance. What I would like to see is Nick Griffin in political debate, as I believe that the policies of his party are intrinsically wrong, racist and wholeheartedly supremacist. I would pay to see someone wipe the floor with him and expose the National Front…. sorry the BNP for what they really are. If you set up ‘Operation White Vote’ in this country then you most likely would be racist as white people are not the minority in this country and do not need special representation. it was always gonnae happen in yorkshire just cos there r so many Asian folk living there and it freaks idiot white folk. Ideally everyone would live in more integrated societies, its all too easy to mutter about Paki this and Fenian (nae offence intended by using those words) when its in reference to a group of people who live near you but are clearly different, cos they speak ‘a funny language’ or go to ‘a funny school’, and because you are too stupid to appreciate things that are different from what youre familiar with. And obviously this mistrust is reflected by the stupider members of these groups who react to being targeted and then give their communities a bad name by acting much like the fannies who try to annoy them. If everyone was next door to one another and had the same education then surely at least some of the folk who fear and dislike things they dont really understand would see that we are all similar, and the differences between us are what makes things less monotonously boring? But maybe im being naive, the morons who could learn by being shown such obvious things are mostly the same ones who just want to pick fights in any case. But were are stronger than the BNP, were not all idiots, just ignore them, vote for real politicians (the lying sponging cunts they are) and when their presence in power does not make one blind bit of difference to any of the desperate bastards who voted for them, the BNP ‘era’ will be over with and we can move on to the next pile of horse-shit that becomes the weeks talking point. Lynn what I think is that if “they” don’t like the way things are run here why don’t “they” go elsewhere. Why would you move to a country which didn’t support your ideals, it would be like emigrating to the USA and trying your hardest to turn the government to communism. Asking the BNP supporters to leave is just nonsense, to draw a parallel to the US its like asking the republicans to leave the country just because some Mexican immigrants want more concessions. Why should they party that represents the indigenous population have to leave, and if they did their wouldn’t be much point to them anymore would there?
Crowsus said this isn’t 1920s Germany, there are however some striking similarities to the situation. We are in the middle of a recession, the political landscape is similar also as there are now so many parties and stupid parliaments that nothing can be done anymore and the country’s citizens feel betrayed by their government. Not only that but there is growing hatred for the immigrants which are seen these days to be much better off than the local population (the Jewish problem?), if we’re not careful Nazi Germany is what we will end up with.
As for the BNP being ‘evil’ etc well here’s a thought. How many times has the evil BNP been in power?, never is the answer. To this day they haven’t started any illegal wars with the Americans against some shity middle eastern country. They haven’t bombed women and children back to the stone age in the name of capitol gain (called freedom these days), they haven’t sent their troops into being slaughtered just so big business can make money. As far as I’m concerned Labor is a truly evil party and anyone that voted for them over the last few years is guilty of murder in Iraq/Afganistan.

Yes Joe. Labour aren’t a great party and you will probably find most of the people who object to the BNP also object to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. They probably disagree with the part privatisation of schools and other such policies that they have implemented (I mean what the fuck does Reg Vardy know about schools!).
I have never voted for a party that has been elected to power, but I do however agree with our voting system. My objection is not that the BNP were elected but that they are not capable of doing their jobs. Andrew Brons and Nick Griffin are both holocaust deniers who have a history of racial hatred. This includes an arson campaign against Jewish property and synagogues!
Yes change is needed but do you really think this is a step in the right direction?

Frew, while you never voted for Labour alot of people did hence their landslide vicory in 97. Griffin and his party are not even been given the chance to fail. Holocaust denial is only someones point of view and last time I checked it wasnt ilegal to say so in this country. Maybe the BNP are not the right way but like it or not they got two seats, if the country really does not want them in power then its time for the people to get off their fat, football obsessed lazy arses and either spoil their vote or vote for someone else.
Lynn as for our culture being destroyed I dont believe that was one of my points but its been going that way for a long long time and the American media is more to blame for that than anyone else, however its the fault of the British people that they have allowed someone else values to influence them. As far as the holocaust denial goes, Yes NG and AB are entitled to their opinion but that opinion is particularly controversial and as politicians they should be expected to justify themselves. I don’t know why they believe what they do (although Nick Griffin claims he no longer denies becuae he is bound by EU laws) but the main reason for denial is anti-semitic. Now I don’t know if you have ever walked round the old jewish quater of Berlin but there seems to be a great deal more bullet holes in the residential buildings around that area as well as a lot of plaques outside houses with the information of who lived there and what camps they were taken to. Genrally the family was split up. I find it very hard to believe this didn’t happen and actually find it insulting to suggest.
The BNP will have to do a hell of a lot of debating as well as a lot of justifying of opinions before I or anyone I know takes them the slightest bit seriously. Their tactics are brash and they are scaremongers, and until they treat the whole of the population with the same respect they will be disliked. But that just wouldn’t be the BNP then, would it?

I am a true Yorkshire middle – aged woman and I do not know any racist person. Everyone I know, and that is a lot of people, loathe the BNP and many are members of anti BNP groups. Brons was not elected here in the way it seems to be assumed, but rather because of the low turnout of voters which allowed the BNP to sneak in. A lot of people are disgruntled with New Labour, very anti Tory and Lib Dem so did not vote.
For heaven’s sake do not think we in Yotkshire really want a BNP representative! There are good and bad people everywhere, and some will be racist in any county so do not single Yorkshire out!
