David, I saved 11k for it and I've got about 4 of that left for the next 4 months. I know this is going to make me sound like a pure smart arse, but that works out at around a thousand pounds per month. So I'll be hunky dory.

My mate Dave only took aboot 8 grand I think, and his bird only had aboot 4, so it depends on how much you want to work and how long you're going to stay in the expensive places and the cheap places.

It’s much cheaper here than Glasgow. Clothes, food, drink, everything. I went out on Friday with $30 in my pocket and was out all night and got rather pissed. $30 works out at about 12 quid back home, which would just about cover the taxi fare to the pub. And the clothes are a lot cheaper too, especially in Cotton On.

I thought things were a bit cheaper, especially food and transport. Don’t ask me about clothes, though, I’m a tramp.

Moving on, Does anyone know approximately how much it would cost to travel around europe (east and west) for about 5 weeks staying in average hotels?
