She’s some Australian singer and they play her all the time in this internet cafe I come to. Slow songs with meaning with just her and a piano or guitar or something. Lassie music.
Anyway, she’s annoys me, cos she sings in an Australian/English accent. Like Sophie Ellis Bextor. More like her from Echobelly, actually…
So when these lyrics of her are sung:

I’ve always wondered why everyone sings in an American accent when they’re not from America (bar The Proclaimers, etc.) and now I know. Cos when they don’t, it sounds like they’re trying to be different and that, as everyone from the UK knows, is a no-no.

Like that echobelly photo. Upon closer analysis though it looks like the 3rd fella in the back is having some kind of fit. The other two are thinking “I’m cool, look at me walking towards you all cool like,…” and the other guy is thinking “shit I forgot to take my meds again…”
